I have always loved cycling. Cycle-touring was introduced to me during my scouting (teenage) years by my good old friend, Najib Abdullah. As time passed; career, family and responsibility had, in a way, limited me to pursue this passion. Now, however, I have tried to make time for this passion of mine.
The internet age has been a great help. Website and stories from cyclists’ blogs, traveling all over the world, have given me detailed accounts on their exciting endeavors and experiences. This has excited me a lot because with easy access to maps and information from the net, planning a cycle tour in Malaysia or to any parts of the world has never been easier.
By writing this blog, I too hope to be able to share my adventures as well as to help other cyclists and travelers alike passing through Malaysia with valuable information for their own journey. It would be great if this could attract more travelers to visit our beautiful country as well as further encourage other Malaysians to take up cycle-touring and see the true colors of Malaysia.
You don’t have to plan for a great journey to make it into the newspaper headlines, all it needs is great passion and love for what you’re doing, and the journey itself will be a great experience for you no matter what other people think. With that, you’ll be surprised how far you can travel. But what matters most is the feeling of enjoyment and self-accomplishment.
